Glyn joined Monmouthshire Independent Financial Advisers in December 2009. He has been involved in the financial industry since leaving school on gaining his ‘A’ levels.
 
Glyn has been a member of Solicitors for Independent Financial Advice (SIFA), a support organisation for advisers who work with solicitors and accountants and which has recently been given Law Society approval for it’s on-line directory, (accessible via the Law Society website) since 1991.
 
Glyn specialises in bespoke portfolio planning for individuals & trustees, wealth preservation and inheritance tax mitigation and pre and post retirment planning for high net worth individuals. Glyn has the following qualifications:- Certificate in Financial Planning; Diploma in Financial Planning; is working towards Chartered status and a STEP Trustee & Private Client Certificate for Financial Planners.
 
Prior to joining the Monmouthshire Independent Financial Advisers, Glyn joined a long established and respected firm of solicitor’s in 1991, as an in-house Independent Financial Adviser and dealt mainly with private client matters, advising on all aspects of financial planning advice, including investments and savings, pensions, taxation, inheritance tax planning, trustee investment, family protection, business assurance and mortgages. He was responsible for liaising with the Financial Services Authority, adhering to their rules and regulations in conjunction with the Law Society rules and regulations.
 
Glyn’s other interests include, jogging, gardening, going to the theatre and watching sports. He is also a Parent Governor at Bro Myrddin Bi-lingual Comprehensive School, Carmarthen, a Treasurer for Dyffryn Tywi Performing Arts School and Gift Aid Secretary for St Mary’s Church, St Clears.
